Though we may be moving to Tier 4 soon, as of June 1, Honolulu remains in Tier 3 of our COVID-19 recovery process. As a result, we are rescheduling the #HNLPrideRide for October, 2021 -- Honolulu Pride Month!

To help keep our community safe, we are being extra cautious in our ongoing planning for this event. We'd like to send a special mahalo to Hula's Bar & Lei Stand for being the #HNLPrideRide founding sponsor, and we hope to be at very Tier 4 soon, so please stay tuned for more information.

To share your idea for hosted group rides, please e-mail: info@hawaiilgbtlegacy.com. Refunds for tickets already purchased can be requested by contacting treasurer@hawaiilgbtlegacy.com

Pride has always been about solidarity and visibility. As we begin to turn the tide on the impacts of the COVID pandemic, Honolulu Pride Ride offers LGBTQIA+ some fun opportunities to get together in safe, socially distanced outdoor experiences. We will sport our rainbow colors across the streets, bike lanes and pathways of Oahu (or anywhere) to show solidarity with the global LGBTQIA+ communities and to gear up for Honolulu Pride in October.

There are options for cyclists of all ages and skill levels. Purchase a ticket OR make a donation today and, you will get an e-mail reply with more details. You can pick the ride(s) you want to join, or ride with your own team or household.

  • Group Rides on June 11, 12, 13 and 27 will be in solidarity with what are traditionally some of the largest Pride events in North America and around the world.
  • Solo Rides for you, your household or team can take place anytime in June. Reach out if you'd like help planning your own ride and, to add your event to our calendar.
  • If you need a bike, try using Biki, Honolulu's bikeshare, or contact us for low-cost bike rental options.

Participants are encouraged to track their mileage, take and share selfies and videos to social media with the hashtag #HNLPrideRide. Riders are encouraged to be creative in expressing what Pride Ride means to them. We'll compile the images to create the Official Honolulu Pride Ride video for online streaming and broadcast later this year.

Around the world, more than 70 countries criminalize LGBTQI+ people just for who they are. In the United States LGBTQI+ Americans still lack basic protection in 25 states, and continue to face discrimination in housing, education, and public services.

Join us as we ride for freedom, for love, and in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ people all over the world.
